About Geoff

Geoff Seidel brings 47 years of nursing, leadership, and cancer research experience to his run for the Frederick County Board of Education. For more than two decades, he has supported the National Cancer Institute, leading precision medicine clinical trials, managing multimillion dollar programs, and guiding high performing teams.

A nurse, teacher, mentor, professor, and community volunteer, Geoff has built his life around one belief: every child deserves it to feel safe, supported and seen.

As a father and grandfather he understands how much families depend on schools that put students first. Geoff is running because parents feel ignored, teachers feel overwhelmed, and students are being left behind.

His focus is simple: safer schools, stronger academics, and real accountability. He's not running to make a point, he's running to make a difference.

Geoff is licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland and holds an Associate of Applied Science/Nursing degree from Reading Area Community College (Pennsylvania), a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science degree (Health Administration) from St. Joseph’s University (Pennsylvania), and is graduating from Hood College in 2026 with a Doctor of Organizational Leadership degree. He is a life-long learner.
