Help us build a School System That Puts People First
Our schools succeed when students, parents, and teachers are at the center of every decision. Parents are not obstacles, they are the foundation for student success. For too long, FCPS has drifted away from its core mission: providing an excellent education in a safe, supportive, and transparent environment. Geoff is running to refocus the system on what truly matters — real learning, real safety, real accountability, and real results.
Strong Academics
Every child deserves an education that prepares them for life — not just for the next test. Our schools should be about education, no ideology — students, not emotions — facts, not feelings. Geoff will champion:
High academic standards that give students the foundation they need to succeed.
Evidence-based instruction that keeps classrooms focused on skills, not distractions.
Early interventions and targeted supports so no student falls through the cracks.
Geoff believes achievement grows from clarity, consistency, and high expectations — and that FCPS can lead the State when we commit to the basics done well.
Safe, Supportive Schools
A student cannot learn if they do not feel safe. Parents cannot trust the system if classrooms feel chaotic. Teachers cannot teach if the environment does not support them. Geoff will work to ensure:
Clear safety standards that protect every student and staff member.
Respect for teachers with the tools, training, and support they need.
A positive school culture grounded in responsibility, civility, and dignity.
EVERY child deserves a learning environment where they can focus, feel valued, and grow.
Transparency You Can Trust
Families deserve openness — not obstacles. Geoff believes parents are essential partners in education, and they must have full access to the curriculum, resources, and supports offered to their children. Geoff will demand:
Clear communication between schools and families.
Transparent budgets with every expense accounted for.
Public reporting that is easy to read, understand, and trust.
Taxpayer dollars are sacred, and every one should be tracked with care and integrity.
Accountability That Works for Everyone
Geoff’s approach is simple:
Smart priorities. Clear accountability. Real results.
That means:
Annually, setting clear goals and measuring progress; data-driven decision-making and establishing robust priorities.
Evaluating programs for effectiveness, not popularity.
Ensuring every decision supports student success — not bureaucracy.
Good governance is not complicated. It’s about doing what works, fixing what doesn’t, and staying focused on the mission.
A Commitment to Every Family
Geoff is running for the Board of Education because he believes FCPS can and must do better. He’s not here for politics. He’s here for students, families, and the future of our communities, county, state, and nation.
His promise is simple:
A school system where every student thrives, every parent is informed, every teacher is supported, and every taxpayer knows where their money goes.
That’s common sense.
That’s good leadership.
That’s the path to real results.
We have seen FCPS overlook these priorities in recent years. Geoff will bring an evidence-based approach back into the classroom—creating sustainable pathways for student success, innovation in academics, a renewed commitment to excellence, while supporting the family, the centerpiece of our community. Strong families make strong communities. Strong communities make a strong nation.
It’s time for Frederick County to move beyond feelings and into evidence-based, family-centered education. With a focus on transformative learning experiences, Geoff’s mission is clear: empower students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in a dynamic world.
